eVero Outreach Welcomes Two Westbury Agencies for ‘Hire Me!’ Workshops!
This past month, our Outreach team welcomed Westbury High School and YAI Westbury to our office to participate in “Hire Me!” workshops! These interactive workshops are designed to help individuals navigate the different stages of the employment process, equipping them with the confidence and knowledge they will need before, during, and after job interviews. These half-day sessions cover a variety of employment-related topics, from searching for and identifying appropriate job opportunities and preparing for interviews to often-overlooked details, such as what to wear, how to plan transportation, and aligning expectations with the realities of a job description.
The “Hire Me!” workshop is just one of the many ways the eVero Outreach team empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to reach their full potential. Throughout the year, we invite the I/DD community to workshops and events focused on the practical skills needed to succeed in both the workforce and everyday life. We achieve this through meaningful partnerships with local organizations dedicated to building stronger, more inclusive communities.
