Scott Weisbrot is a forward for the U.S. National Field Hockey ii Team, representing Team USA at the inaugural 2026 FIH Para Hockey World Cup in Amstelveen, Netherlands, and Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, in August 2026.
He is a Long Island native who took up the sport in 2021. He plays club hockey with the Long Island All Starz and says the game has taught him not just skill, but the value of passing to teammates and good sportsmanship. Although relatively new to the sport, he’s no rookie. Scoring a game-winning buzzer beater during a match at East Coast Sports and Fitness ranks among his proudest moments on the field, along with a standout outing playing alongside Hofstra University athletes, where he continued to find the back of the cage.
Scott shared on his blog, Scott’s Highlight Hub, that this summer’s trip marks a major milestone for him as he joins the traveling squad and competes in Europe. Long a dream of his, it’s now a reality and feels like a privilege. He’s excited to represent Team USA while meeting players from around the world. His friends and family support his route to the World Cup, plus his place of employment, eVero Corporation. In July 2026, eVero, a software company serving the Home and Community-Based Services sector, was named the Official Event Sponsor of the U.S. Hockey ii Team.
eVero’s CEO, Christos Morris, praised Scott, saying the company is proud that one of their own team members will be representing the United States in Belgium and the Netherlands, and that they’ll be cheering for him and the whole team as they make history with the U.S. team’s inaugural debut.
Off the field and off the clock, Scott keeps busy as a writer, blogger, DJ/music producer, and surfer. An avid sports fan of the Mets, Islanders, Florida Panthers, Liverpool FC, and Leeds United, he’s just as likely to be found spinning or reviewing EDM, alternative rock, and country as he is chasing a hockey ball down the field this fall.
